Cutter/EWP Operator

Taylors Environmental Group is currently seeking qualified candidates with demonstrated experience to be part of our team to carry out tree care operations in the Greater Melbourne Metropolitan area. Taylors Environmental Group provides a broad range of specialist arboriculture services of amenity tree care. Providing ongoing training and development to our employees to ensure our team are not only benefiting from always gaining knowledge and staying current but to also ensure a quality service is provided to our clients.

To be considered for this role you must have experience within the Utility (Powerline) Arboricultural Industry and will need to have all of the following tickets & training etc:

  • White Card
  • M/R or L/R License
  • Environmental pruning around electrical wires
  • EWP License
  • Safe approach distances
  • First Aid level 2
  • Traffic Control
  • Chainsaw tickets
  • Wood Chipper Operations
  • Cert 3 in Arboriculture
  • VESI Training

You will also need to have qualities including:

  • Safety conscious ensuring all safety procedures are followed
  • Initiative
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Team player attitude

Ground Crew / Labourer

Taylors Environmental Group are currently seeking suitably experienced ground crew/labourers to assist in the implementation of all aspects of amenity tree work in the Greater Melbourne Metropolitan area.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of a competent ground crew as well as a commitment to their and their co-workers safety in the work place.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Experience with wood chipper operation and maintenance
  • Chainsaw experience
  • Enthusiasm and physical fitness

Preferable but not essential:

  • HR or MR driver's license
  • Basic tree identification skills i.e. common names

Climbing Arborist

Taylors Environmental Group is currently seeking an experienced Tree Climber to work within the Utility (Powerline) Industry. You must have demonstrated experience climbing around powerlines. You will be required to carry out tree care operations in the Greater Melbourne Metropolitan area. If you would like to further your career within a growing company and have a genuine passion for working within the amenity tree care industry then we want to hear from you.

In this varied role, you will be performing all aspects of an arborist's duties on-site such as:

  • Pruning, visual tree assessment and removals
  • Ensuring all safety procedures are followed
  • Vegetation management (climbing) within the vicinity of electrical lines

You will also need leadership qualities including:

  • Initiative
  • Confident decision making
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Remove trees in confined spaces
  • Amenity tree pruning techniques
  • Aerial rescue covering tree hazard and risk assessment
  • Undertake standard climbing techniques
  • Harness climbing
  • A trade qualification in arboriculture with demonstrated experience in all aspects of tree pruning and care
  • All VESI requirements
  • The ability to work well at heights
  • Enthusiasm and physical fitness
  • M/R or H/R license an advantage
  • Minimum of 400 hours on a climbing worksite performing climbing duties (Lead Climber) & 150 hrs (Team climber)

Consulting Arborist

Taylors Environmental Group are currently seeking a consulting arborist with demonstrated experience to be part of our team to carrying out consulting and report writing in the Greater Melbourne Metropolitan area. If you would like to further your career within a growing company and have a genuine passion for working within the amenity tree care industry then we want to hear from you.

In this varied role, you will be performing all aspects of a consulting arborist's duties such as:

  • visual tree assessment
  • written tree assessment
  • consultation service
  • tree selection
  • preparation of arborist reports for a variety of planning matters
  • expert witness
  • general advice on planning and permit requirements
  • customer liaison and development

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • a minimum of certificate 5 qualification in Arboriculture with demonstrated experience in all aspects of tree pruning and care for a minimum of 5 years
  • some consulting, preferably at least 2 years, experience is required
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • excellent writing skills
  • knowledge of a range of computer programs including word, excel, outlook and CAD
  • sound knowledge of Victorias planning system
  • sound knowledge of OHS is required

You will also be required to provide advice on a day to day basis to our tree crews and other staff as required.

On occasions you may be asked to provide quotations for tree removal and pruning works as well as more specialised works.
